Graingerboy releases his debut solo album Pop Music Crisis Meeting on September 18th via pop crisis recordings. The album, a culmination of a years work, was co-produced with Julian Simmons (A Girl Called Eddy, Guillemots, Mougene) in East London's Din Studio. What can only be described as a 'PTA '(Pop Traffic Accident), the album incorporates just about every record Graingerboy has ever listened to and longs for an age when 'Pop' wasn't just a dirty word.
Pop Music Crisis Meeting features contributions from Georgia Cashbrook (The Research), Anthony Reynolds (Jack, Jaques), Jack Pollitt (Barefoot) and Simon Phipps (Bandini) and was given a final polish by Mike Marsh (Bjork, Lamb, Kylie) at The Exchange in London.
Along with the forthcoming single 'Flying Solo', PMCM includes a new version of the sound track to Rafael Bonachela's "Introducing..." comission.
The first 500 copies are available by mail order only. Go to the shop for details.
